I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend! We had a fun weekend full of Easter egg hunts, time with family and friends, and a great morning at church! Our church gave $40 towards ending homelessness in Huntsville for each person who came. It’s been so great to see our city and our church take steps towards loving and caring for our homeless community here in Huntsville.
I’m so excited Spring is finally here! I’ve been doing some major Spring cleaning. Each year it feels like a puzzle piece trying to store the kid’s Winter clothes for the following year, donating outgrown clothes, and buying new clothes for the upcoming months.
This year we are embracing Spring by planting a garden! My happiest little gardener in the pic below is helping me get more flowers from Wal Mart 🙂 After we planted our first shrubs and watered them everyday for almost two weeks, we had a lawn mowing incident and they got cut down. So this is round two of gardening for this Spring. After the incident, my sweet friend Meg surprised us by bringing a beautiful lavender bush to add to it! The girls are loving watching everything grow so far.
And last but not least, can we talk about candles? I love changing out my candles each season! And who doesn’t want to walk into a home that smells like fresh flowers? Below are two of my all time favorites for Spring! You can click on the picture and check them out for yourself! I promise they all smell heavenly!
What are some of your favorite ways to welcome Spring?
